The Fall 2019 Men/Women collection

It was the first time Palm Angels landed on the American catwalks to showcase the brand new collection conceived by Francesco Ragazzi. Moving to New York Fashion Week, the Italian designer’s intention was to upgrade his brand to the next level, by reaching a broader celebrities’ audience grounded in one of the most fertile environment in music and art, through a development of the label’s established looks with a greater emphasis on streetwear.

As the original rebel attitude of the 60’s urban subcultures was, the lineup’s street wear elements suggest a -rather moderate- defiance against the bourgeoisie formalities: square-shaped jackets and pencil trousers, hoodies and oversized t-shirts confer a tomboyish and provoking attitude. All these elements are combined with a functional aesthetic associated to hunting and fishing, with tie-dye prints aplenty, acid washed garments, nets and camouflage chromatisms.

The standout elements of the Fall 2019 collection are the all purposed, utilitarian vests, equipped with pockets aplenty, conferring the tailored pieces the functional component. Bold leather pieces are shaped on the body volumes, defining the profiles of a bustier.
