CAHIERS

A sense of natural simplicity and genuine elegance is conveyed by the Fall/Winter 2021/22 collection designed by Cahiers.
Launched in May 2014 by Kim A young, the brand puts comfortable wearability at center stage in its designs, favoring a neutral-colored palette that avoids aggressive printing and coloring techniques.

The raw material is masterfully converted through the art of tailoring into luxury fine products: here some traditionally men’s pieces are given a soft, feminine attitude. Overcoats are romanticized through wide lapels and gathering details, or they are even deprived of collars and simplified, while quilted bomber jackets are embellished with rouching collars. The emphasis on shoulders and on puffed sleeves is obtained through the pleating techniques that contribute to the volume addition, conferring simultaneously power and confidence while preserving delicate femininity.

OCT31

Entitled Hold my eyes, the video created for the Fall/Winter 2021/22 collection by Oct31 Studio tells the forbidden love story between two women, drawing inspiration from the film “Carol”.

Sunil Kim takes the masculine pillars and gives them a touch of sophisticated vintage styling: the trench coat is abruptly cropped and worn with a matching skirt; monochromatic coats convert into dresses, blazers are cinched at the waist and blown-up sleeves originate out of leather-like bomber jackets.

SAINT MILL

Saint Mill focuses on dynamism, looking for unpredictable creative possibilities. For the Fall/Winter 2021/22 season, the masculine tailored suits are submitted to flooring interventions that break up formality into an explosion of rouching details, asymmetries, worn-à-l’invers effects and hybrid pieces that blend cargo practicality and feminine grace. Lighthearted and playful is the attitude successfully conveyed.
