21-26th february 2018 dedicated to Women Fashion

The Fashion Week is back to Milan, and the Italian city is going to host lots of important fashion shows and events that would make the other capitals jealous.

Dedicated to womenswear, sixty-four shows will include powerhouse names the caliber of Tommy Hilfiger -that will have 5,000 guests, Arthur Arbesser, Gucci, Lucio Vanotti, Max Mara, Luisa Beccaria, Fendi, Emilio Pucci, Tod’s, Antonio Marras, Blumarine, Krizia, Etro, Vionnet, Versace, Mila Schön, alongside the landlords of Milan Giorgio Armani and Prada.

Palazzo Reale will be an important location: it will host the exhibition “Italiana“, curated by Maria Luisa Frisa and Stefano Tonchi, that will shed new light on Italian fashion from 1971 to 2001, in occasion of the 60th anniversary of Camera della Moda Italiana. Moreover, it will display Versace’s fashion show, that chose Palazzo Reale’s Sala delle Cariatidi as the new venue for its 40th anniversary in the fashion field.

An exhibition related to Futurism will take place at Fondazione Prada, “Futurista. Post Zang Tumb Tuuum. Art life politics: Italia 1918-1943“. Therefore, the new tower designed by Rem Koolhaas will substitute for the traditional via Fogazzaro where the Prada’s new collection will be showcased.

Eight creative minds are called to give rise to a new project, called Moncler Genius: among them, Pierpaolo Piccioli, alongside Karl Templer, Sandro Mandrino, Simone Rocha, Craig Green, Kei Ninomiya, Hiroshi Fujiwara and Francesco Ragazzi.

Buccellati will have a cocktail party with Peter Lindbergh’s tribute to Italy, and Grinko will have a manifest against violence towards women.
