From Paris, the lineup in close-up details

María Félix is the muse who inspired the latest Couture collection of the design duo behind Ralph&Russo. The most famous actress and charismatic diva of Mexico bewitched the Australian designers with her passion and her elegance, even though she never took fashion so seriously. The Spring 2019 collection is developing then as a celebration of “her cinematic Latin-American glamour”, as Tamara Ralph told Vogue backstage.

Elegant gala dresses and tailored suits are paired with subtly ironic elements, like matching sombreros, adding a playful touch of drama, as well as the pom-poms that dangle trom the hem of a minidress, the feathers, the vibrant colour palette and the experimental proportions.

Asymmetric cuts generate voluminous ruffled explosions of satin; lavish gowns are embroidered with polichromatic crystal embellishments for a wide range of looks worthy of being worn all night dancing.
