The coed Spring 2019 collection
On the notes of the latest Kenzo‘s fashion show, the Spring 2019 collection was described by several virtues, id est “Kindness. Balance. Unity. Harmony.”
It is about a blend of diversities; men and women are mixed in a coed collection, where high-tailoring and sportswear are fused together. The French luxury maison focused on eye-catching prints aplenty that range from glen plaids, stripes, vichy checks and polkadots to Orient-inspired florals and animals.
Perfect tailored suits, with panels of contrasting colours slice up the sides, are combined with sheer t-shirts that create a trompe l’oeil effect. Knits go hand in hand with crocheted outfits and macramé lace.
For women, a more playful component is added, with twills, vibrant-coloured silk, highly saturated hues and python prints.
