Mugler redefined sophisticated sportswear with a dazzling SS 17 collection. Designer David Koma drew inspiration from the depths of the ocean, kindred with seasonal favourites like Giorgio Armani’s Charmani and Sarah Burton’s mermish red carpet looks for Alexander McQueen. But the collection was unlike anything these other designers offered. The catwalk consisted of beautifully rendered silver sequin dresses that resembled fish scales, shell-inspired gradient patterns, plunging necklines and sporty looks fit for a night out. Style lines were an immaculate expression of fish gills, another splendid touch! And the transparent vinyl trench coat from the collection is officially on my 25th birthday wishlist.
