A blend of vintage and contemporary elegance

A harmonious mix of vintage and modernity; structural and architectural constructions alongside fine handcrafted detailing: it’s the American designer Lela Rose, who is challenging her view of fashion with a specific Bridal line she first launched in 2006.

Presented at Bridal Fashion Week in New York, Charm for the Centuries blends her signature elegant aesthetic with a fresh point of view. That’s how tradition encounters modernity, throughout a collection that mixes wide A-line silhouettes, constructed in traditional shades of white, with more contemporary elements such as a double-breasted peplum top matched with a pair of trousers.

Three-dimensional fabric petals are embroidered on the – often strapless – bustier dresses and gradually dispersed on the sheath bodices. Crystal-embroidered tulle goes hand in hand with embossed silky fabrics that fluidly fall down the body, while a detachable watteau is flowing behind a flattering mermaid dress.
