Ermenegildo Zegna’s Man’s SS19 show at the Mondadori Building

A remarkable location was chosen by Alessandro Sartori for his latest Spring/Summer 2019 Men’s fashion show: the Mondadori Building, the headquarters of one of Europe’s top publishing companies.

Thought and conceived by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer, it was described on the Ermenegildo Zegna‘s show notes as follows:
This remarkable piece of architecture looks once monumental and immaterial, as if suspended, acting as a telling backdrop for a collection that marries sharpness and functional ease with a pervading sense of lightness.

The lightness came from the orange-hued clouds at sun set, reflected on the windows of the building, while a mirrored runway was built for the occasion and set across a lake on the outside of the venue.
